ITINERARY-1
DURATION: 07 Nights / 08 Days


Day 02: Hike to Tiger Nest –Thimphu
Built on the seemingly impossible cliff at a height of 400 meters above the lush valley floor of Paro is one of the most sacred places in Bhutan. Guru Rinpoche, the second Buddha, flew here on a flaming Tigress for the second visit to Bhutan and meditated here in the 8th century. Here he propagated Vajrayana- Mahayana Buddhism (Bigger Wheel) that was prophesied by the Buddha at the time of attaining Nirvana.In April 1998, a fire destroyed the main structure of the buildings and the religious contents. A complete restoration was done and resulted in a carbon copy of the original. This place beholds the history of The Hidden Land. The return walking time is approximately five hours (if you have a permit to the site). Otherwise, around 3- 4 hours is enough to make round trip to the viewpoint.In the evening drive to Thimphu, 2 hours through winding roads following the Pa-Chu (Paro River) down stream to its confluence with the Wang-Chu (Thimphu River). There are good views of the forests, Rocky Mountains & scattered village on our route. As we enter the Thimphu valley we will pass through Semtokha Dzong built in 1629 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyel (The man who unified Bhutan). Now Semtokha houses the language and cultural school where scholars of all the ages study Dzongkha (National Language). Overnight Thimpu. 

Day 04: Thimphu-Paro
After breakfast, drive to the memorial Chorten (Stupa) built in the memory of His Majesty King Jigme Dorji Wangchuk. He is regarded as the father of modern Bhutan. Visit the National Library, which holds ancient Buddhist texts, historical books, and some very famous manuscripts written with gold ink. A three-minute drive to the Traditional Medicine Institute will show you where medicines are prepared from plants, flowers and animal’s bones according to ancient practices. Acupuncture is its main discipline. Visit the Art & Painting School, where the students learn the 13 different kinds of Bhutanese Arts.Afternoon free for the last day shopping at Thimphu and evening drive back to Paro for tomorrow’s departure.

Day 06: Delhi
after breakfast visit for local sight seeing Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Lotus Temple, Qutab Minar, India gate, Parliament Street etc. Overnight in the hotel. 

Day08: Agra-Delhi- 
Morning breakfast then visit to world famouse, the symbole of love Taj Mahal. Then proceed to Delhi. On arrival transfer to the International airport for onward journey.

FLY TO BHUTAN - (TOUR CODE-CTI-FTB/094)

Meet & greet services then you will be escorted by CTI representative to the hotel. After lunch, visit the National Museum (watch Tower). This museum has a very interesting assortment of costumes, treasures and world-renowned stamps, and will bring alive the history of Bhutan since the 6th century. Visit Paro Dzong (Fort), Headquarter of Paro District. Altitude: 2250 meters.

Day 04: Thimphu- Punakha
Drive to Punakha via Dochula -Pass 3150m above sea level overlooking the high Himalayas and the lush green valleys of Talo and Mendigang, lunch at Punakha and sightseeing including a visit to the exquisite Punakha Dzong, which it was the old capital of Bhutan. On the 17th December 1907, the first king of Bhutan was crowned here and every consecutive year on this date we celebrate national day in Bhutan. After visiting the Dzong drive further to do a mini hike to Khamsum Yuelley Namgyel Chorten and once you reach the top you will see the winding view of the Mo-Chu River and villages below. If you look towards the north you will see the snow capped mountains. Overnight Punakha.

Day 06: Paro-Delhi
after breakfast visit for local sight seeing Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Lotus Temple, Qutab Minar, India gate, Parliament Street etc. Overnight in the hotel.

Transfer to the International airport for onward journey

Day 1: Delhi-Bagdogra
Meet & greet services at International airport then transfer to domestic airport for onward journey to Bagdogra. On arrival you will be transferred by CTI representative to the hotel. Overnight Bagdogra.


Day 3 : Darjeeling 
Early morning make an excursion to Tiger Hill to view sunrise over Mt. Kunchenjunga, the third highest peak in the world. En route visit Yigacholing Ghoom Monastery which it has famous statue of Maitreya Buddha (The future Buddha). After breakfast the sightseeing tour of Darjeeling visiting Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Zoological Park, Tibetan Refugee self Help center, the nearest tea garden to witness the manufacturing process of Darjeeling tea. After noon joy train ride from Darjeeling to Ghoom 8 Km and return to hotel by a car. Evening at leisure. Overnight hotel. 

Day 5 : Sikkim 
Am. Sightseeing tour of Pelling visiting Pemayangtse Monastery, one of the oldest monasteries in Sikkim, Rabdentse the second palace of Sikkim which lies in ruins, Kechipalri lake or wish fulfilling lake which is located at the midst of verdant forest. PM. Transfer to Gangtok. Overnight hotel.

Day 7 : Gangtok - Kalimpong via river Teesta (76 Km. 3hrs).
Sightseeing tour in Kalimpong includes – Zangdopalri Phodrang monastery, Deola Hill, Durpin Hill, a private flower/ cactus nursery and walk around the typical little town of Kalimpong. Overnight hotel.
