Aluminium Oxide Chromatography
Aluminium Oxide Chromatography
Aluminium Oxide Chromatography Description
Generally aluminium oxide is another stationery phase well-known adsorbent, used in chromatography for less polar compounds. Aluminium oxide powder is a white to off white, fine and grained powder with highly porous from alumina. Its surface is extra polar than that of silica gel and reflecting the amphoteric nature of aluminium, has both basic and acidic features. Aluminium oxide chromatography attributes are determined by its specific (internal) surface area measured by the BET Method, it means pore diameter, and its pore volume, the last mentioned two being in relative to the specific surface area.
We are manufacturing 100% pure and highest quality of activated alumina powder with controlled physical characteristics for reproducible chromatographic performance. In chromatographic process, analytical and preparative chromatography using aluminium oxide 100-300 mesh and 200-400 mesh grade size for organic chemical compound separation and purification. The Brockmann test is a simplest method to determine the activity of adsorbents.

Applications
Aluminium oxide for chromatography is being used in the laboratory and in industrial production
For preparative column chromatographic separations, isolation & purifications of antibiotics
As a support material in analytical chromatographic columns
Purification & dehydration of organic solvents
On industrial scale for the removal of small amounts of undesired components
e.g. : Side reaction products from mother liquors, water from non-polar solvents, etc.
In the separation and purification of dyes, dye intermediates alkaloids, steroids, liquids, amino acids, hormones, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, vitamins
Purification of natural products & herbals like reserpine, capsaicin & some oleoresins
Storage Conditions: Store in a dry room. Prevention against water, acid and alkalis
