India Optics & Scientific Works was established in the year 1970, under the guidance of our mentor, Mr. Mulakh Raj Aggarwal. His sharp business acumen is the key to success of the organization. With his ceaseless efforts, we have been successfully catering to Sugar industry, Electronic Industry, Jewellery industry, Diamond industry, Watch industry, Automobile industry, Botany, Zoology, Archaeology, Department of health & medical, Animal husbandry etc. Today, we are counted among the leading Saccharimeter Exporters and Suppliers based in India.
Journey to Success We started journey to success in the year 1970 with a motto to manufacture Import substitutes.
- 1970-71: We manufactured small item as double demonstration eyepiece, camera lucida etc.
- 1971-73: We dealt in stereoscope, student polarimeter, research polarimeter, abbe refractometer and hand refrectometer.
- 1973-75: We started designing Binocular head for microscope that was imported from Chekoslvakia & Romania.
- 1976: We started manufacturing next import substitute, Saccharimeter for sugar factory, which had been importing from German, sugar crystal measuring microscope and simple & projection.
- 1977-80: We manufactured polarizing microscope, metallurgical microscope, ore microscope and zoom stereoscope.
- 1980-90: We entered in the domain of ophthalmic instruments, slit lamp, lensometer, keratometer, synaptophore, streak retinoscope, trial fame and indirect opthalmoscope.
- 1990: We have achieved ISI certification for dissecting microscope IS: 4328-1967, student microscope IS: 3686-66, binocular head IS: 8275, pathological microscope IS: 4381-8275. Adding honor to repute we are glad to say that we are the 2nd organization having ISI mark for above items in INDIA.
- 2008: We developed microscope with teaching head and illuminator, phase contrast, dark field condenser, focometer, apetometer, zoom operating microscope for ophthalmic, E.N.T, neurology, dental and coloscope.

Quality Adopting ethical business practices, we maintain the quality of the optical instruments at every level of production. We conduct stringent quality tests using high-end instruments like Focometer, Apetometer, Toolmaker microscope, Go nut Go gages, Caliper, Micrometer etc. Moreover, our quality testing team keeps a strict vigil on the production process to ensure quality. All our optical instruments are ISI and BIS certified.
