Soldier Waistbelt With Adjustable Sword Hanger (3 Buckles) (AH-1121)

On the verge of Seven Years War, the French army adopts a new waistbelt. Two buckles allows adjustment of the sword angle. Similar waistbelts are depicted in Eisen’s exercice of arms and in a famous series of watercolors dated 1757 and showing French regiments. The use of this sort of belt in New France is confirmed by simple “D” buckles found at Fort Carillon (Ticonderoga, N.Y.).
Cream colored buff leather, brass buckles with iron tongues. On request our regular buckle (BOUC-01) or our buckle with lateral tongue (BOUC-02) could be sewn on this belt.
