Baselard Dagger

Baselard Dagger

The Baselard Dagger, 14th century Combat / Fighting Dagger
The name probably derives from the Swiss city of Basel. The Baselard was used throughout Western Europe in the 14th and 15th Centuries. Used for thrusting, self-defence, assassinations and close combat fighting, where a sword would be to cumbersome to be used effectively.
Based on models from the 14th century this is an excellent rendition of the timely originals. The blade is constructed of forged EN45 Carbon Steel and is equipped with a leather scabbard.
