It comes assembled with a 12V/7AH 2 Pcs battery which provides a backup time of around 30 minutes for a typical computer with a 15 inch monitor. However, for a PC with 17" monitor and a 2.1 audio system that we connected onto it, the backup time recorded was 31 minutes. After a compete discharge, the recharge time for ITON 1000 is 8 hours for 90% power and a couple of hours more for a full functional 100%. The ITON 1000 comes equipped with a full protection from auto discharge, overcharge and overload, safeguarding itself and the peripherals connected to it as well. There are 5 LEDs on the front panel which indicates the AC Mode and backup mode with different and specific flashing patterns. The audible alarm further indicates the backup mode, low battery status and overload with certain beep combinations. These beeps can also indicate a battery fault or a need for battery replacement. The ITON 1000 works in an operating environment anywhere between 0-40 C and 0-90% humidity (non-condensing). It comes with a fan integrated to its back panel, which manages the cooling needed for the device and works relatively with a low noise level, which is not more than 40 decibels. ITON 1000 comes supplied with 4 power sockets for connecting one or more devices and also a RS-232 interface to interact with the computer. Modem/phone-line surge protection is also an added feature to it.
