Made from fine and pure copper particles these are also used for lubrication in studs, bolts, nuts, screws, slides, keys, press-fits, couplings, bushings, gaskets, splines, etc. to prevent seizure, especially in equipment like furnaces, boilers, heat exchangers, turbines, compressors, ovens, burners, etc.. It is also sometimes used as a bearing lubricant for low-speed, high-load and high-temperature applications.
