Karadant sweet is prepared with natural gum. This is fried in pure ghee. Hence the name Karadantu which in Kannada means fried gum. This is usually given to pregnant women and also during post natal period for its nutritional values. This will make their waist stronger. A highly nutritional product called "Alavi" and cashew, Almond, Pista, Poppy seeds, Cardamom, Raisins, Dry Dates, Jaggery, dry coconut and dry figs are mixed in equal quantities and the sweet is prepared by experts.

 

 

(Late) Shri.Savaligeppa Aiholi's sweet soon became extremely famous. A unique quality of this sweet is that it may be preserved for 3-6 months even outside a fridge.
