Thin Client
Often referred to as a lean or slim client, a thin client is a computer or a computer program that depends largely on some other computer (its server) so as to meet traditional computational roles. On the other hand, the traditional fat client is a computer designed to handle these roles itself. The precise roles assumed by the server differentiate, from providing data persistence (for example, for diskless nodes) to actual information processing on the client's behalf.
