"Flamex" Halon-1211 (BCF) fire extinguisher are made out of high quality steel containers treated against corrosion and having squeeze lever valves fitted with pressure indicating gauges. They are filled with halon-1211 (BCF) and pressurised by nitrogen gas.
Uses
BCF is most suitable for occupancies where an electrically non-conductive medium is desirable, where clean up after the use of other media presents a problem, or where a weight versus extinguishing potential is a factor of importance.
Types of hazards and equipments that BCF can satisfactorily protect are:
Gaseous and Liquid flammable materials handling and storage.
Electrical hazards such as transformers, oil circuit breakers, rotating machinery etc.
