TMT Bar

TMT bars, also known as Thermo-Mechanically Treated bars, are a type of reinforcement steel widely used in construction projects. These bars are known for their high strength, durability, and resistance to corrosion.

TMT bars undergo a specialized manufacturing process that involves three stages: heating, quenching, and tempering. In the heating stage, the steel billets are heated to a high temperature and then rapidly cooled using water jets. This rapid cooling creates a hardened outer layer, known as the martensite layer, which provides the bars with enhanced strength.
