Chicken Biriyani

 

500-700 gm meat(Mutton/chicken)
500-700 gm rice(soaked in water for 10 minutes)
2 cup ghee
3 chopped onion
4 finely sliced tomatoes
150 gm curd
2 tablespoon garlic paste
2 tablespoon ginger paste
1 tablespoon screw pine essence
Finely chopped coriander leaves
1 pinch of edible yellow colour
Salt according to taste
45 gm biriyani masala
Directions
 
Step 1: Heat oil in pan and fry onion till it turns golden brown. Add meat, fry for 15-20 minutes.
Step 2: Add 4-5 glasses of water, cook over low flame. If you are making chicken biriyani, no need to add water.
Step 3: When the meat gets soft, add tomato, ginger, garlic, curd and biriyani msala. Mix well and cook the mixture for 10-15 minutes.
Step 4: Boil rice in another pan till it gets half cooked. Drain out the water and keep it aside.
Step 5: Arrange a layer of rice and meat curry in a pan. Take some more rice and mutton, spread as second layer. Repeat the same process for 3-4 times. Spread green coriander, mint leaves, screw pine essence on each layer. Cook for 15 minutes on medium flame.
Step 6: Your delicious mutton biryani is ready to serve.
