Indian Airport - Kolkata The Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International airport is the largest in eastern India and is located approximately 17 kilometers from the city of Kolkata in West Bengal. Renamed in the honor of the legendary Subhas Chandra Bose, NSCB is considered to be the 9th busiest airport in terms of international passenger traffic and serves as the chief connecting concourse for flights to North East India and the rest of South Asia. It is a world class airport consisting of three terminals – domestic, international and cargo. In terms of mobility, the airport is well connected to the city by several freeways and flyovers. For greater accessibility, a parallel underground metro station is currently under construction that will seamlessly link the airport to the other parts of the city.
