Our clients can avail from us Bile Salt which is extensively used in bacteriological culture media as a selective inhibitory agent. This is a blend of sodium glycocholate & sodium taurocholate and has a typical odor and bitter taste. Available in brownish color, this salt is soluble in both water and alcohol.
Application:
Used in cases of biliary secretions to assist emulsification of fats and the absorption of menapthone and other substances
Cultivation of faecal staphylococci and streptococci (MacConkey Agar CM7/7b)
Configuration:
Reaction: (20% aqueous solution) pH 6.0 – 7.5
Cholic acid content: 45%
