Monel K-500 Rod is basically a nickel and copper alloy that supplies superior resistance to corrosion and like monel 400 and large power and toughness. It is effectively non magnetic at the minimum temperatures and utilized for resistance to corrosion springs at the temperature of 500oF, higher capacity towards the stress corrosion cracking in the particular conditions. Characteristics of Monel K500 Rod 1. Higher resistance to corrosion and sour gas environment 2. Large strength and nonmagnetic 3. More efficient towards stress corrosion cracking and more tensile strength than Monel 400 strip. 4. Preserves ductility and toughness up to 400ºF. Applications of Monel K500 Rod 1. Pump Shafts, Fasteners, Marine Propeller Shafts 2. Oil Well Tools, Instruments, Springs 3. Sour-gas service applications 4. Oil and gas production safety lifts and valves.
