Drilling Fluid Chemicals-PAC (Polyanionic cellulose)
Polyanionic cellulose is a non-toxic water-soluble cellulose product using in wide areas. Its appearance is white and yellowish powder and easily soluble in both cold and hot water. PAC is chemically different kind of cellulose existing in wood and cotton liters It has high resistance to salt and good heat stability. PAC is kind of cellulose with high uniformity and high degree substitution. Polyanionic Cellulose has excellent heat-resistant stability, salt tolerance and strong capability of anti-bacterial contamination. This product also prevents well collapse by means of having stabilizing properties
PAC is known as a polyanionic cellulose which is using in drilling, textile, papermaking and some of other industrial process. It also has some kind of activation with the other materials for different usages. Its water resistance properties prevent fluid loss in mud. Having low viscosity and the high viscosity properties make this product more quality especially in drilling usages. The polyanionic cellulose is excellent fluid filtration reducer. It will compose with clay a thin but strong mud film in the drilling well wall to protect the drilling well. The PAC HV could increase viscosity of the drilling fluid and suspend the drilling cuttings and particles.
APPLICATION:
1, PAC's application in drilling fluid
PAC used as filtration reducer and inhibitor, and fluid mud. If PAC Compares with CMC, it has better uniformity of response, with higher degree of substitution, better transparency and excellent resistance to salt and heat.
2, PAC's application in work-over fluid.
Adding PAC in fluid can prevent any dangerous situation (being blocked or collapsing)in production process by making this fluid stiffer.
3, PAC's application in fracturing fluid
Fracturing fluid made with PAC is resistant to 2% KCL solution (required when preparing fracturing fluid). It features good dissolvability and easy to use. It can be prepared on engineering field and gum forming is fast
