The trek takes us through the lushness of the valley floor, with shady forested slopes fed by the gushing river, and up into a landscape of alpine meadows and breath-taking panoramic views of the Himalayas all around. You will move at an easy pace and do not exceed altitudes of 2500m, making this trek perfect for inexperienced walkers and families with children. An enjoyable sojourn into the mountains, this trek fits easily into a longer stay in Srinagar, but can also be treated as an independent break for those wishing to escape for few days.
Day 01: Delhi to Srinagar
Early morning you are welcomed by our representative at New Delhi International Airport, transfer to Hotel for rest till morning, on time you will transfer to Domestic Airport to board flight for Srinagar and on arrival at Srinagar airport and transfer to Houseboat at Dal Lake, free time for personal activities, Afternoon Lake rides by Shikara to visit Floating Gardens, Lotus Gardens, Char Chinar, Kaboter Khana (Pigeon Palace) and inside of the Lake. Dinner & Overnight stay at Deluxe Houseboat.
Day 02:- Srinagar - Pahalgam (Village of Shepherds) 96 Km and elevatio2740 M
Morning drive for Pahalgam (Village of Shepherds) which is 96 Kms from Srinagar, on arrival check in Hotel for overnight stay, Pahalgam is one of the beautiful and fascinating ideal resorts all the year round. It is the base for several treks in the region. One can trek to Lidderwat, Kolhai Glacier or to Sonamarg. Situated at the confluence of the Lidder River and set amidst fir and pine covered mountains, one can have a real feelings of Paradise. You can enjoy the pony ride to Shikargah & Baisaran, overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 03: Pahalgam – Aru
Situated 2130m up at the confluence of the streams flowing from Sheshnag Lake and the Lidder River, Pahalgam was once a humble shepherd's village with breathtaking views. Now it is Kashmir's premier resort, deliciously cool even in the height of summer, and a wonderful day is spent exploring the natural pine forests and enjoying nature's splendor. Trek steadily along the river to the pretty log-hut village of Aru, 11 Kms from Pahalgam. At Aru, the camp is already set up for you beside the Lidder River. Delicious dinner will be served to you round the fire and rest.
Day 04: Aru – Lidder Watt
Today trek 11 Kms through the lush Lidder Valley to Lidder Watt, where your reward is overnight at the beautiful Lidder Watt campsite, situated by a stream that runs straight from the glacier into the Tar-Sar Lake.
Day 05: Lidder Watt - Kolhai
A short trek takes you to the base of the Kolhai Glacier at the head of the Lidder Valley. The glacier, climbing from 3400m up to 4000m, descends from twin peaks at 5433m that tower majestically overhead, and is a truly magnificent sight. And head back to Lidder Watt for campfire meal and rest.
Day 06: Lidder Watt – Pahalgam - Srinagar
Finish trek return into the green valley and reach Pahalgam by the early afternoon. After lunch return to Srinagar by Car/Cab, where on arrival check in Houseboat for overnight stay.
Day 07: Fly from Srinagar to Delhi to onward Destinations
Early morning you will be transfer to Leh Airport to Board Flight for New Delhi, on arrival at Delhi full day sightseeing of Delhi visiting Raj Ghat, Qutub Minar, Laxmi Narayan Temple and other Places with Market, in the evening directly on time you will be transfer to Delhi International Airport to board flight for Onwards Destinations.
